Mamoudou Operations Reserarch Analyst My work day consists of a broad range of analysis in area of forecasting, modeling, information system, evaluating findings, reviewing the methodology used in supporting decision. In sum -- conducting operations for research. My role as teaching mathematics and statistics has more than benefited me, because while teaching, you get to deal with people of different background, trying to solving problems, and so on. And I'm basically using the same, in a different way, applying those backgrounds to project -- different project, the tax-oriented project, and use the same methodology to get to the conclusion, or at least make a right prediction -- accurate predictions. I was a Ph.D. candidate in applied and computation mathematics, as well as, I also had an extended level of experience, both in academia, private industry, and even on a nonprofit organization. The transition was really small, in the sense that I was assigned a mentor to help me gradually learn and understand the culture of the agency, as well as being exposed to 21st-century technology, similar to academia and private sector. It's just amazing. I love it. I love the thinking part, analysis part, and trying to be able to use my logical background, both mathematical and statistically involved to convince and sell the outcome of my findings. The type of job I do -- mostly analyzing data and trying to make prediction -- it usually goes fast. Next thing you know, it's -- I think it's simply unmatchable. The benefits are outstanding. As a new potential candidate for the Internal Revenue Service, if any of the following is your life goal -- innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, opportunity to grow -- this is the answer. You cannot find any better than this.
