The Internal Revenue Service plans to hire up to 200 employees for a new call center to open next summer in the Des Moines area.

The new IRS Automated Collection System call site will be located in the Des Moines metro area and will primarily provide service to business and individual taxpayers regarding follow up on collection matters.  Details on the call center site location are being finalized and we will post them here as they occur.  The new Des Moines area site is expected to begin operation in July of 2010.
